D.I.Y. Floral Headband

Happy Halloween!
Hope everyone is having fun dressing up and going to Halloween parties.
This Halloween I was so stumped about what to be. Then after looking through my closet and finding a pair of floral leggings, I decided to be a flower child/hippie.
I made a floral headband that was so easy to make and cut a black tee shirt.

Here is what you need to make the headband:

Fake Flowers
(I bought these at the craft store)

Plain Headband
(Must be thin so it won't be seen)

Glue Gun
(Make sure you have glue before hand. I forgot!)

And Scissors

So first step is to cut a few flowers off the stems. Start with a few so you don't end up with extra flowers.

Now all you have to do is arrange your flowers on the headband and glue. Here is what my finished headband looked like.

I hope you all have a fun Halloween. I also want to know what all of you are being, so comment below (:

Lastly, I want to say for everyone living on the eastcoast to be safe. For those of you who don't know there is currently a Hurricane named Sandy, which is suppose to be one of the worst we have had in a while. Living in New Jersey, I am currently in the middle of the storm right now. So please be safe!

Pintrest- Fall Inspiration

I am so sorry that it has been so long since I last posted. These past few weeks have been so hectic with school, work, and my birthday last week! I will write a post this weekend of all my lovely birthday prezzies from my friends, family and of course myself.

But here is some fall inspiration from pintrest to get you in the mood for the changing weather.

Favorite Fashion (TV) Shows!

Hey everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying this cool fall weather, I know my sweaters are feeling the love.

So today I wanted to talk about some of my favorite fashion related TV shows. Not to get mixed up with fashion shows.

So one of my favorite all time TV shows has to be Sex and the City. Carrie Bradshaw is one of my style icons and one of the people I look up too. (I know she is a fictional character but come on, I know all of you would die to be her).
When I graduate high school, I want to go to college in NYC and live a Carrie Bradshaw lifestyle with my best friends.

My latest obsession is Gossip Girl. I know I may be late because they are on the final season but I have been watching night and day starting from season 1. I love Serena and Blair and how they are willing to do anything for each other, even though they have their rough patches.

Lastly, one of my last favorite shows isn't a scripted show. Fashion Police has to be one of the best weekly talk shows that are only about fashion. I am proud to say I am a Joan Ranger (laugh all you want). For those of you who have never seen the show, it is a weekly show on E! with Joan Rivers as the host with Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic, and George Kotsiopoulos as the co-hosts. Every week they discuss celebrity fashion do's and dont's with segments like "Bitch Stole my Look", "Starlet or Streetwalker", and "Gotta have it!, Make it Stop!".

So now that you know all of my favorite fashion inspired TV shows, I want to know what are yours.

Casual Peplum Look

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a good week.

So, today I wanted to share a casual peplum look with you all. I know some people who are scared to try the trend because they feel it is either too daring for them or will make them look too dressed up.

So here is a look that is very casual while still sporting the peplum.

This look pairs a cute peplum tank with skinny jeans and a pair of oxford flats. An over sized bag and understated jewelry keep this look easy to achieve.

I want to know who will be sporting a peplum this season, either totally casual or glammed up for an event.

Young Republic

Recently I discovered an amazing website called Young Republic. This international website, that just re-launched on August 27th of this year, is for upcoming designers to sell their products.

“The beauty of Young Republic is that it is so youthful and current. It is a fantastic tool for putting designers in touch with their target market and giving each label an opportunity to be seen,” states Lauren Brooks, the Australian designer behind Baumbach.

I am so excited to start exploring all this site has to offer. It is a great online resource to find one of a kind things like jewelry and clothes.

“People love going to the weekend markets because they can buy unique one-of-a-kind items you won't find with the big brands,” says Young Republic co-founder Marianne Sea, “We wanted to bring that exciting experience online”.

Here are some amazing products sold on the website.

Moons Of Apollo by Eight Teen Years

CHRISTI JAY by Leather Braided Buffalo Necklace

If you check out the website or even buy anything, comment below and let me know. I would love to hear about your experience with them.
